I know Jeanist won the poll I ran on my other blog. But because of a lack of beefcakes to objectify on art fight (I just don’t know anyone with one) I’m drawing Jason Todd.
First time getting one of these scams. The first red flag was they wanted to commission me lol. (I’m much more comfortable doing trades because I’m bad at time management and following through that gives me anxiety when I feel like I’m late and then I ghost, so not the best when it comes to paid things.) Second red flag was they didn’t care that the art I do produce for commissions is not what they had seen or “liked” on my page. Digital cartoonish vs traditional realism. Third was they wanted to use a check.
Folks don’t accept checks when PayPal or other online money transfers exist. Checks are going to be bounced, you will be in the negatives, and the scammers win.
Tumblr is weird because sometimes you go to a mutual’s page and like/reblog half their content like you just broke in their house and imediately ate a little piece of all their food, tried out some of their clothes, sat on their sofa, and then just left.
And sometimes the mutual notices and does the same to your house.
